I don't know how fluid liquid fats are, but this essay flowed smoother than any of them. Excellent research, well structured and super insightful. Had the highest ratio of "did not know at all/things I know" for me. Good job. Keep publishing TWT crew 🧡
Deep research. Fluid writing. Thank you. Also, seems like the problem, as always, tracks back to over-population at ‘earth’ level. The planet and its resources were never meant to feed so many bellies. Now that we have to, we find novel ways, only to find out that we’ve just found a new way to screw ourselves. But if that means that in the short term a lot more people get to live (aka cheap calories), then where does the moral balance lie. Sigh.
Would have loved to read about other Indian oils. Like Ricebran oils or cottonseed, which are often by products and hence equally efficient plus healthier
From “red gold” to “chemically bleached ghost fat,” this read like a crime thriller—where the villain is invisible, omnipresent, and quietly labeled E471.
Genuinely—one of those rare essays that doesn’t just inform, but rewires how I’ll look at a supermarket shelf.
Hats off. And lids off every ingredient list I now plan to read with suspicion.
(Insider note: Just devoured a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie—now all I can taste is betrayal and sugar-soaked doomcake.)
Very insightful and well researched! Was expecting to finish on a note telling "how to avoid palm oil from your food" but hey that's not the whole truth.😁
This blog post is so detailed, very insightful, and the storytelling is spot on. Really enjoyed reading it and my suggestion to you guys is to make one blog on MAIDA, ATTA, and other food ingredients that are repeating continuously in our foods. And your campaign of labelling food products, the way they are and avoiding chemical names is so good that I love your products.
This is such a nice thoughtful writing. As i read it i became aware that when market products change, how our recipes are not recalibrated. But the bigger aspect of health, market product, traditional cultural tastes, foods, …so many aspects have after effects in food industry. Thanks for writing.

sodium lauryl sulphate is a anionic surfactant that has foaming properties. I m not sure it's the same as palm oil.
Good read and very informative. Nice job Samarth!
